Raytheon and the US Air Force Test the Small Diameter SDB-II Bomb System

In attack coordinate mode, SDB II utilizes an onboard GPS system to attack fixed targets from the near positions and within the above range of 40 miles. SDB II uses its semi-active laser capability to track and eliminate targets in laser mode. The latest tests verify the readiness of weapons systems, Raytheon said, and the program is moving towards the next stage of government trust and operational testing.
